This book consists of beautifully written poetry and prose. Topics such as self-love, letting go and wisdom about life in general are presented in short texts so you can easily pick up the book and read a poem.
This book helped me a lot last year and it still does today and I am sure it will continue that way in the future. To me, it is almost like a guide when I am feeling small or I need some motivation.
The intention of the author, supporting the healing of individuals to contribute to the healing of the planet is so pure. Peace begins by oneself and that is probably the most outspoken message of “Inward”. However, it doesn’t stop with “Inward”. Yung Pueblo just released his second book “Connection” and I can’t wait to read it. Even when you decide not to read or purchase “Inward”, Yung Pueblo is very active on social media where you can find many of his poems. For those who want more and longer written text versions of his wisdom, you can subscribe to his newsletter! (Which I did and I would totally recommend it.)
I think it is great to see when people share a certain vision about life and are able to communicate about it. I know a few people who read “Inward” and it is very rewarding to have a conversation with them, because you start from what’s written in the book and you articulate your opinion and listen to the other’s experiences. As a result, you are talking about life and its struggles and the things you can do to develop yourself. All this in an open, non-forced way. So this is the reason why I gave this book all its five stars because Inward also creates a safe space to talk about life and that is not always self-evident!
