I often think about waking up at 5 am. This sounds ridiculous, right? But, last week I managed to get up around 6 o’clock and It was just amazing. I could take time for myself and read some pages in the books I am currently reading. I like to read 10 pages a day in a random book from my self-development/ self-care/ mental health pile. It gives me new insights and it urges me to reflect on how I am as a person.
Then after reading, I am a bit more awake and ready for some movement. Stretching my body kindly and waking up my muscles. Some days it’s nothing more than just stretching. Other days I like to do some yoga asanas. Maybe trying a handstand.
Depending on how much time I have, I write and I watch the sky becoming lighter and lighter.
Now my day can start.
Waking up early has a big advantage especially if you have a busy schedule and still want some time alone. On the other hand, there is nothing wrong with waking up late. You can still do your morning routine. I personally feel pretty guilty when I get up late because I feel I need to hurry to compensate for the hours I was still sleeping or snoozing but… I am working on that. 😉
Do you like getting up early? Would you wake up at 5 am?
